This Castle Hill print is close to my heart. I went to University in Huddersfield in the late 90's and have very fond memories of walks, taking in the views or just chilling out up there.
 
This collection of semi abstract landscape paintings have emerged from walks around Yorkshire. I like to play with both colour and perspective to create an elevated or exaggerated depiction of what I see. I develop a loose colour code to translate the often mundane and dreary greens and browns and switch colours around to create a brighter and more playful interpretation of the landscapes. I try to find the ‘glimmers’ of light and interest and accentuate these in gold or fluorescent hues.
